Hi my beautiful friends. Today I have an awesome blog post prepared for you. I have received the gorgeous Heroine.nyc nail polishes and I am excited to share my review with you. Heroine.nyc is a brand that was founded by the talented Shanna from @glittr. Heroine.nyc polishes are 5-free, cruelty free and vegan. They are made in the USA.
The Debut collection was the first one, as you can figure out by the name. I made two nail art designs using Heroine.nyc polishes. Let’s take a look.
The first nail art is a very simple leopard print. The star of the show is definitely a bright pop of pink. Mean Girl is a very saturated neon pink creme. It goes on very smoothly and in two coats you get a full opacity.
I used a regular striping tape to create the black stripes and the awesome Lights Out was my black polish, while I used White Noise as my white base. A pop of leopard spots in the middle completes the look.
My second design is a gorgeous chevron gradient! I started off by applying two coats of White Noise. The formula was very creamy and fairly pigmented, but still two coats needed. Then I applied the chevron vinyls and protective liquid latex around my cuticles.
For these chevrons I used lime green Sublime (which I have featured in this nail art), pink Mean Girl and purple Touch Me Not. I sponged the gradient diagonally on my nails. The colors blended together really well!
The green Sublime mixed too much with the pink and you can’t really tell that it’s there, but I still really like the end result.
What can I tell you about the Heroine.nyc creme polishes? They are very creamy, pigmented and easy to work with! I really like the color selection of their first collection. You can two basic colors (black and white), as well as some popping neons! I think you can create endless nail art designs with them. They were lovely for making nail art too!
If you are interested in purchasing Heroine.nyc products, please visit their website. The polishes from this collection currently retail at $10 each (or $55 if you choose to buy the whole collection).
They are launching a new collection tomorrow (February 3rd), so keep your eyes peeled. International shipping available!
