Hello my lovelies! How are you all doing? Today I am coming with an exciting review of the new Sophin Cosmetics Gellac collection. Gellac polishes by Sophin Cosmetics are their new polishes with a special formula. They look and act like gel polishes, but you don’t need the UV lamp and you can remove them with a regular nail polish remover. I received five new colors from the Gellac range plus a special top coat. Let’s take a look.
The application process is very similar to any regular nail polish. There is no base coat with this system, so you start by applying the color first. I noticed that it’s best to apply one coat and wait for it to fully dry before applying your second coat.
The formula is incredibly pigmented and creamy. For all five colors I applied 2 coats of color. I noticed that these polishes dry much faster comparing to the regular ones. Therefore, I like using a little thicker coat for more even application.
Once the color is dry, you can apply your special UV top coat. This system promises to cure the polish under the natural sunlight and much longer wear. I actually did a wear test of these polishes, so let’s see how well they did.
In the picture below, you can see my nails after 6 Days of wearing Dahlia. I took a picture with my phone under natural light, so you can see how it actually looks like. The photo is unedited.
M thoughts: I am absolutely blown away how long this nail polish lasts! I don’t think I ever had anything on my nails for 6 days in such good condition. You can definitely see the growth and I only have some tip wear. No chipping whatsoever. The shine is not as intense as it was right after application. I believe they were less shiny on day 3 already. As for the rest, I am pretty damn impressed.
Soft Peach is a stunning peach pastel creme.
Dahlia is a dark dusky red with a pink undertone.
Lush Olive is a gorgeous olive green creme. I stamped the flowers with a Creative Shop stamping plate no. 34.
Graphite is a beautiful dark dusky blue. I stamped the splatter with Lina Nail Art Supplies Make Your Mark 01.
Dark Soul is a dark dusky blue/purple creme.
Espresso is a warm brown creme.
What do you guys think of the new Sophin Cosmetics Gellac range? Did you have a chance to try any of them? If so, what are your thoughts?
