Hi my lovelies. Today I am coming back with a review of Whats Up Nails stamping plate called Lost in Aztec B009. Whats Up Nails has just recently come up with their own stamping plates and I was very curious about their performance. The designs are adorable and I believe there are 17 stamping plates in total at the moment. You can check them out HERE.
The plate Lost in Aztec is the main focus in this blog post and in my video. It’s a beautiful stamping plate full of tribal and Aztec designs. I am absolutely loving it. I have in total three stamping plates from Whats Up Nails and they are made with good quality materials and performing perfectly. I didn’t have any problems with lifting the designs and I noticed that the etching is well made.
I started off my nail art by painting my nails white (except my grey pinky) and I used Dance Legend Polina, which is a great white nail polish. For stamping I used Cameo Colours Lacquers Tuesday, which is your basic grey. It’s a lovely color, but not entirely pigmented for stamping purposes (but it’s not a stamping polish, so I’m OK with it).
I filled in the sides of the designs with the nude Dance Legend no. 1031. And the orange accent with Dance Legend Best Vacations. Once the design was done, I finished it off with Cirque Colors top coat & later matte top coat. When I make my designs matte, I like to apply a fast drying top coat before the matte one to smooth out the surface of the nail. Studs are from the Born Pretty Store.
My second design is a simple radial gradient with a white stamp. This stamping design is also on the Lost in Aztec stamping plate.
Can you believe that this is my first time making a radial gradient? I actually really loved the end result and I feel like I will be making more of them! I used Electric Daisy, Fame, One-Night Stand and holo We Trippy by Cirque Colors to create the base for this mani.
I used a white nail polish to stamp this beautiful round Aztec design. I think such round designs work great with radial gradients. I cleaned everything up with this amazing angled brush from Whats Up Nails. I just got it in the mail together with the plates and I am loving it so far. Then with a small detailed brush I painted a blue frame around my nails using One-Night Stand – the color that was part of my gradient.
I also wanted to mention the beautiful glass file I received from Whats Up Nails – seriously so many goodies in one nail mail! Ever since I tried a glass file for the first time, I am slightly obsessed with them now. They are so much gentler on the nails comparing to a regular nail file and they look adorable. Whats Up Nails have so many different colors on their website and they all look very glam!
What do you guys think of these two stamping nail arts? Do you also love such Aztec themes on your nails? It’s pretty easy to make them when you have a pretty stamping plate at hand.
