Hi lovelies. Any Picture Polish fans out there? If you are following them on Instagram you may have seen the newest release. They released 6 new collaboration shades. If you are bot familiar with the idea, Picture Polish collaborates with nail polish bloggers, who create their own polishes. It’s pretty cool, isn’t it? Today I have Picture Polish Macaron and Riviera to show you. We will take a look at swatches first and then I will share my nail art (with video).
Picture Polish Macaron is a raspberry red jelly scattered holo. This color was created by the talented Laetitia from @ilaeti. Macaron applied very nicely and it’s fully opaque in three coats (you could probably also apply 2 coats, but I could still see my nail bed, so I opted for 3). It dries flat on the nail and leaves a nice smooth finish. Swatches below are shown without top coat.
Inspiration: In Laetitia’s words… This color is made for all the sweet tooth’s out there. Its syrup-like texture is like a sweet fruit jam that fills a French macaron, while its yummy red color is as bold as the shells. French sweetness for the tips… Bon appétit! Picture Polish Riviera is an Azure blue jelly scatter holo/ This beauty was created by the talented Sabrina from @nailartsakura. This stunning midnight blue is very pigmented. I applied two coats for a full opacity.
Inspiration: In Sabrina’s words… My inspiration comes from my love for the Mediterranean Sea, I live near her since I was born, this sea so beautiful and so complex with a thousand reflections. The mirror of the seasons, when it is cold its lapi lazuli dark and fascinating invites us to contemplation and meditation … so beautiful and so fragile despite its strength. It is also a reminder of my missing mother … so sweet and dear to my heart, mother nourishing and loving as the Mediterranean Sea, I see its reflection when I look at it every day.
I used the beautiful Picture Polish Macaron for some reverse stamping nails. This pretty saturated red was calling for some roses on my nails!
Powder Perfect Floral 01 has to be the most beautiful stamping plate in my collection. I have already done many manicures with it, but I couldn’t resists for another one. The base for my nail is Indigo Nails Coconut Milk nail polish. I used TwinkledT Vibin’ and filled in the roses with Picture Polish Macaron and Colouralike Greenberries Hill.
The stamper, which I am using most often is MoYou London 3 in 1 Rectangular Stamper. This stamper is perfect for reverse stamping. You can take it apart and put down the smallest part on the table, which allows for an easy color filling.
What do you guys think of the new Picture Polish Macaron and Riviera? Which one of the two is your favorite?
I really hope you enjoyed my video tutorial. Let me know if you have any requests for my next nail art – I would be happy to create something for you!
