I am so excited (and I little nervous too) that I don’t even know how to start this post. It happened. It was a long-kept secret and a dream of every nail polish addict… I created my own collaboration shade with Picture Polish!!! As I am typing the first words of this post, I still cannot believe this is reality. Meet my pride and joy, my little baby Picture Polish Blossom.
Picture Polish Blossom is a soft baby pink with a lilac undertone with holographic flakies and pink shimmer. The pink shimmer is extremely difficult to capture on the nails, but I did manage to photograph it on the bottle in the picture below. The pink color is on the cooler side of the spectrum and it can look more lilac-y in some lights.
I recommend applying three thin coats of Blossom with a layer of top coat for the shine. You could get away with 2 thicker coats (especially if you have shorter nails). All of my swatch pictures show 3 coats plus top.
I absolutely love such soft shades of pink. This is my go-to color whenever I have a big day or an event to attend. In my opinion, this color is going to look lovely on everyone. It makes your hands and nails look very elegant and classy. Picture Polish Blossom is soft and delicate, but without being boring. This shade of pink is also very unique and it can look different (more lilac) depending on the light. Picture Polish absolutely nailed the color and I am so happy about it. The holographic flakies and pink shimmer and very subtle, but they are definitely there and make the polish more interesting
Believe it or not, but I actually couldn’t come up with the name for this pink polish for a long time. Then one day I was looking at a cherry blossom painting and all of a sudden something clicked in my brain. Blossom! The polish color matches perfectly to blossom flowers and it represent my love for florals too. I started remembering all of my cherry blossom nail art designs created in the past. I seem to have a connection with flowers and blossoms and it just seemed like a perfect fit. Everything tied together like a dream. Adding a picture of cherry blossom branch as a finishing touch was a no-brainer for me! The print on the bottle is one of my favorite things about Blossom!
I also started thinking about the word ‘blossom’ and how it can have a deeper meaning. For me, Blossom is a personal growth, reaching for your dreams and fulfilling your life.
“Blossom is inspired by the beautiful cherry blossom flowers, which I’ve always had a weakness for. They are so delicate and fragile, but have a powerful message to them at the same time, one about the ever-changing aspect of nature. The sight of falling flower petals, which look like snow, is truly mesmerizing. But Blossom is also a reminder to reach for your dreams, bloom as a person and to find your purpose in life. To not be afraid to spread your wings and be whomever you want to be.”
I would like to send big thanks for Jules and the whole Picture Polish team for working so hard to make my dream come true. I really appreciate all your efforts and good advice throughout the process of making Blossom. It’s hard to believe that I have my own nail polish out there! When I started blogging 5 years ago, I never thought this would happen, so thank you so much. This is really a huge deal for me and a big achievement.
What do you guys think of my Picture Polish Blossom? Do you like the color and most importantly would you wear such a shade of pink? Please leave your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below. I would love to know your opinion.
